I’m Celery. Nice to meet you!
As a full-time creative, my focus trends toward painting and drawing. Born into a family of creatives, I’ve been making a colorful mess since I could first hold a brush. I like to explore many styles and techniques, and don’t hold fast to any singular look. When my mother would give me lessons as a kiddo, I wanted to draw monsters and daydreams, but she would set out a bowl of pears and tell me to draw that first. Frustrated at her insistence that I learn realism, she would tell me “ONE day you can draw whatever you like. But first you must learn from the masters!”, as she handed me a book about NC Wyeth. Ha! Turns out she was right. Developing the ability to mimic other styles over the years led to work in film and television, where I accept commissions to create paintings and set pieces from many eras. I also do interior and exterior murals, design events, and living spaces. Nothing delights me more than surprising clients with inventive spaces, and showing them what’s possible in ways they never could have imagined.
